The "final finishers" are the runners who are among the last to cross the finish line. Many of them shouldn't have made it, but their epic resiliency to complete the race pushed them to victory.
I profiled these 2017 runners in a multimedia-centered story for work, which included a series of photos of a dozen runners as they approached and crossed the finish line, as well as audio interviews.
